History
The Impressive story behind VOLZ
Back in 1966, Manfred Volz set up his own business designing and manufacturing paint booths. At that time, air filter solutions were very expensive and sometimes difficult to obtain. The company founder was therefore looking for a better solution for his customers and developed the first VOLZ air filters from the simplest of materials in 1969. Manfred’s experience, innovative ideas and unstoppable drive have resulted in a broad and constantly growing product range.
Today, VOLZ is one of the leading manufacturers of air filter solutions and air filtration media. In recent years, other centers of expertise have developed around the core topic of air filter technology, including product design and mechanical engineering, which forms the VOLZ Group as independent companies under the management of Rainer Volz.
We are ideally equipped for the future and we will continue to invest in our vision for clean air.

As a manufacturer of air filters, our primary goal is to develop products that significantly improve indoor air quality and unconditionally guarantee the protection of people and products from harmful particulate matter.
The protection of health, well-being and production safety is subject to strict standards and specifications, which we are committed to complying with consistently.
Thanks to their versatile and durable properties as well as the greatest possible consistency in their composition, synthetic fibres offer the ideal solution for our filter components specially developed for these sensitive applications.
Synthetics
by Conviction.
We are specialists in the production of synthetic filter media and have been since the company was founded. Synthetic filter media offers consistent efficiency, reliability and quality without the unavoidable side effects that comparable products made of glass fibre can contain and transfer.
In all VOLZ synthetic products we do not use formaldehyde, which is common in the glass industry and also potentially very harmful. The materials advantages make our filters easy to handle – during transports, maintenance and exchange.

An important factor at VOLZ Filters has long been the use of recycled fibres, which are already proportionally contained in all of our products. Our development team is continuously working on increasing this proportion while maintaining product reliability and quality standards.
